Meridian Leisure Hotels. a multiple franchisee of InterContinental Hotels Group, are seeking a HOTEL RECEPTION MANAGER  to be instrumental in running our new 4  star Holiday Inn Reading M4 Jct 10, Wharfedale Road, Winnersh Triangle Berks RG41 5TS

Located adjacent to the Winnersh Triangle station, and within very close proximity of Reading/Bracknell and Wokingham, this 4 star new generation hotel  consist of 174 bedrooms with a 8 conference/ banqueting suites for up to 280 in the largest suite,substantial leisure club & multiple dining options including a terrace for outdoor dining.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a RECEPTION MANAGER  to be part of our senior management team 
Together with the Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the hotel’s Front Office Team in addition to developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and increase sales, thereby maximising revenue.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager and General Manager you will be responsible for Reception, Reservations Enquiries, Night Team and Concierge.

Outstanding team management skills are essential as you will be fully responsible for the development and performance management of the Front Office team. You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service standards, encourage sales (up-sales, cross-sales) and have an understanding of your targets such as revenue and staff costs.

You should also have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal and have a working knowledge of Opera or a similar system.

The ideal candidate must also be prepared to be fully flexible as you will be required to work hands on Duty Management shifts and shifts as required. You will work on a shift basis, working 5 days out of 7.
The successful candidate should preferably have previously worked in a branded Hotel, preferrably an InterContinental Hotels Group brand, in a similar role.

Prior knowledge of Fidelio Opera PMS is a strong advantage.

You should have a proven track record of leading a team to achieve performance and operational targets with particular emphasis on Rooms Management.

You will be require to motivate and inspire the team and be able to implement new systems and procedures.
Ideal candidates should have a stable background and positive references

We are looking for a talented Assisant Food & Beverage Manager who is capable of bringing their own skills to a very busy hotel and who is able to assist in training and developing the team and setting up systems and standards.

The position is entirely hands-on.

Ideal candidates should possess the following attributes :-
* Be confident in serving 100+ covers  in the restaurant per service with additional banqueting as events occur.
* Work at consistently high standards
* Be well presented and have excellent communication skills
* Be able to manage and teach the food & beverage team

Micros point of sale experience an advantage.

To be considered for this position it is essential you have a proven and stable background as a Restaurant Supervisor or Assistant Food & Beverage Manager in a branded hotel environment.
