Meridian Leisure Hotels, a multiple franchisee of Intercontinental Hotels Group, are seeking a Sales Manager to be responsible for the sales and marketing of our Holiday Inn Express Soton M27 Jct 7 and our Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Redditch

The position will be based at our Holiday Inn Express Soton M27 Jct 7. Located adjacent to the Rose Bowl, and within close proximity of the M3 and M27, this 3 star hotel consists of 176 bedrooms with 5 conference suites for up to 52 in the largest suite and a busy restaurant and bar.

You will be responsible for promoting, securing and developing new business from the local market for both hotels.

You need to be able to work autonomously and bring personality and passion to the role

You should also have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The key duties will include the following ;-

(a) new business generation

(b) building positive client relationships with existing customer base and actively managing all existing local accounts

(c) Marketing and promotional activity for the hotel and conference facilities

(d) Targeted on 10 appointments per week

(e) Concentration in room sales

(f) Identify sales opportunities and leads

Successful candidates should ideally have a solid hotel sales background , preferrably in a branded hotel environment , with a passion to succeed.

There is the possibility of single live in accommodation in a lovely house within 3 minutes of the hotel if required

You must be eligible to work in the UK unrestricted
